About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position for the course "Méthodologie qualitative avancée" (SOC7541 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa. The course focuses on modeling a qualitative research project and field investigation, covering problem definition, theoretical framework, qualitative approach selection, research ethics, data collection tool development, data systematization using software, analysis, and final report writing. The position is limited to Regular Part-Time Professors.

Requirements

• Hold a doctorate in sociology or have completed doctoral coursework in sociology.
• Possess a record demonstrating expertise in advanced qualitative methodology, evidenced by teaching identical or similar courses or by publications in this field.
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
