About The Position

This seminar aims to enable Master of Laws (LL.M.) students to develop their research skills by exploring and applying major cross-cutting themes such as equality, security, rights, access to justice, or public interest issues, or through case studies drawn from different areas of law. These themes and case studies will be addressed in light of contemporary legal issues. The course will focus particularly on criminal justice, fundamental rights, and children's rights, as well as the rationales underlying the interpretation and application of law.

Requirements

  • Holder of an LL.L. or LL.B., as well as an LL.M. in law or an equivalent degree.
  • Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec.
  • In-depth knowledge of the requirements of graduate studies in law in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Priority will be given to individuals who have successfully completed the DCL5535 course and are engaged in a doctoral program in law focusing on the themes of this seminar.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
