About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor for the course DIDA GÉOGRAPHIE AU CYCLE SUP (4722 Section G00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on the initiation to teaching one or more disciplines in the intermediate and senior cycles, considering student growth and development. It covers the subject's contribution to development stages, theoretical frameworks of discipline learning, and pedagogical implications. The course involves critical study and interpretation of program requirements, analysis and application of teaching strategies, methodologies, and techniques specific to the subject matter, preparation and use of didactic material, and practical application scenarios. It also addresses student measurement and evaluation, with a particular focus on meeting individual needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education required; a Ph.D. in Education is preferred.
  • At least one of the following: Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or administrative experience within a school board, including 2 years of implementing the Ontario curriculum for the course subject with a specialist qualification for the course subject.
  • Current and peer-reviewed research record in the course subject.
  • Recent Ph.D. comprehensive examination in the course subject.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum related to the course subject and Ontario Ministry of Education documents related to the course subject.
  • Proven ability to apply the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics of the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • The University may consider equivalent experience or qualifications.

  • Doctorate in Education (Ph.D. in Education) is preferred.
