About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position in the Department of Classics and Religious Studies within the Faculty of Arts for the Fall 2026 semester. The course, SRS4702-A00 (Séminaire en sciences des religions), will study religious phenomena in ancient and contemporary cultures from various methodological perspectives, focusing on theoretical and methodological problems and case studies. The course will be delivered in person on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and has an expected enrollment of 45 students. Requirements

M.A. in Religious Studies.
Required expertise in the chosen theme: Religion and the animal question.
Competence in French (language of instruction).

Responsibilities

Teach Séminaire en sciences des religions (SRS4702 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
Study religious phenomena in ancient and contemporary cultures using various methodological perspectives.
Address theoretical and methodological problems and conduct case studies.
Deliver the course in person on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
