About The Position

The University of Alberta is seeking a Professor to teach MATHQ 100 - Calculus I for Engineering I for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a part-time position with an initial appointment of 4 months, primarily located at the Campus Saint-Jean in Edmonton. The successful candidate will report to the Vice-Dean. Courses are generally offered in person but may be offered in a hybrid format (in-person and synchronous online). Candidates must be fluent in French, both spoken and written, as the Campus Saint-Jean is the francophone faculty of the University of Alberta. Applications must be submitted in French to be considered. Requirements

  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
  • Relevant education and experience for the courses for which the application is submitted.
  • Applications must be submitted in French.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong background in post-secondary teaching may be considered equivalent to academic training, upon evaluation.
  • Good knowledge of the francophone context in a minority situation.
  • Experience in French immersion settings.
