About The Position

The Productions Soil Operator works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility, handling merchandise safely, quickly, and accurately as it moves into and/or out of the facility. The role prepares slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor, verifies merchandise and records damaged or ruined items, and helps maintain a safe and clean production environment. Work takes place in a warehouse setting with exposure to outside weather, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position follows a shift schedule that may include weekends, and overtime is required as needed. Physical demands include moving slings or carriers weighing up to 220 pounds, handling product weighing up to 50 pounds, and prolonged standing and walking.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the appropriate number of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verify merchandise type and quantity on the PUC card and segregate like items together in a sling.
• Identify, count, and total ruined or damaged merchandise and record it on the PUC card.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
