About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The role prepares slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor, verifies and sorts merchandise, records ruined or damaged items, and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to move or maneuver slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, and press at shoulder level and below the waist.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares appropriate numbers of daily slings or carts/carriers for the wash floor.
• Verifies merchandise type and quantity on the PUC card and segregates like items together in a sling.
• Identifies, counts, and totals ruined or damaged merchandise and records it on the PUC card.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in production activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
