About The Position

Perform a variety of duties related to poultry processing, including working with live or raw chicken. Tasks may include handling and processing chicken products, deboning, cutting, packing, weighing, moving, and inspecting. Employees may be assigned to a single department, but production and staffing needs may require periodic work in other departments and positions. Other duties may be assigned by supervision as needed.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work in a variety of conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and noisy environments.
• Willingness and ability to work around industrial equipment.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements using the arms, wrists, and hands.

Nice To Haves

• Previous poultry production experience.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform poultry processing duties according to established safety, quality, and processing-speed standards.
• Handle and inspect poultry products.
• Work in other departments and positions as production and staffing needs require.
