About The Position
America's largest metal food packaging producer, dedicated to sustainability and innovation. Silgan Containers is rethinking how to make the metal food can through increased recycled content, modern process overhauls, renewable energy procurement, and other innovative practices. This position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. The role involves operating and monitoring semi-automated production equipment, performing palletizing tasks, assisting with various manufacturing operations, and receiving training to become a Certified Forklift Driver, Palletizer Operator, and Packaging Operator.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor semi-automated production equipment, ensuring efficient machine operation and accurate material feeds into equipment.
- Perform palletizing tasks using semi-automated palletizer equipment, efficiently stacking finished products on pallets to meet production needs and safety standards.
- Assist with various manufacturing operations tasks, including clean-up duties, part sorting, and acting as a relief operator when necessary.
- Receive training to become a Certified Forklift Driver, Palletizer Operator, and Packaging Operator, achieving ongoing growth and development milestones within the role.
- Contribute to additional production tasks as assigned by management, helping maintain a smooth and safe manufacturing process.
