About The Position

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are looking for energetic, motivated, and results-driven individuals to join our Production Team. This position operates on a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour, with an additional 15% shift premium and a $750 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Good math skills
• Ability to routinely lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English
• Outstanding Attendance
• Must be at least 18 years old
• The ability to pass a drug screen and physical (to wear a respirator) is required prior to starting work should an offer be made.

• Production or Forklift experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Stack and dump 55 pounds or lesser units of raw materials into the mixer.
• Discharge mixed material into bags of various weights.
• Pack and/or place taphole clay or plastic products into pails or boxes.
• Heat seal or valve pack finished material bags.
• Palletize bags of various weights and sizes.
• Shrink or stretch wrap completed pallets in preparation for shipping.
• Add water and/or liquids to wet mixer.
• Occasionally operate forklift safely and efficiently as required after successfully passing required forklift test.
• Clean mixer, equipment, and general work area.
• Weigh bonds.
• Perform labeling, and housekeeping.
• Operate and complete warehouse movements using RF Scanning equipment.
• Follow company rules and regulations.
• Strive to reduce accidents, personal injuries, and potential hazards.
• Work safely.
• Report all accidents immediately to supervision.
• Report to supervisor of conditions that are believed to be unsafe or potentially hazardous.
