About The Position

Kingsford Manufacturing in Parsons, West Virginia is proud to be a producer of 100% American-made charcoal briquets. Kingsford is the leading manufacturer of charcoal in the United States and our charcoal has become synonymous with authentic grilling, good food and most importantly, good times. The Production Worker is responsible for the processing, manufacture, packaging, storing and distribution of charcoal briquettes. The Production Worker may be assigned to work in any of these areas of the plant: Retort – In the Retort department we convert wood waste to char that goes into the charcoal briquettes. Briquetting – In the Briquetting department we combine the char and other raw materials to create the charcoal briquette. Packaging – In the Packaging department we operate machines that package finished charcoal briquettes into bags. Warehouse – In the Warehouse we store finished bags of charcoal briquettes for shipments to customers or other warehouses. Requirements

• Be currently employed for at least one (1) year continuously.

Responsibilities

• Processing, manufacture, packaging, storing and distribution of charcoal briquettes.
• Work in the Retort department to convert wood waste to char.
• Work in the Briquetting department to combine char and other raw materials to create charcoal briquettes.
• Operate machines that package finished charcoal briquettes into bags in the Packaging department.
• Store finished bags of charcoal briquettes for shipments to customers or other warehouses in the Warehouse department.
• Actively participate in contributing ideas as we shape our future.
