Transporter- Rotating Shifts
About The Position
Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a full time Transporter to join our Central Transport team! This is a part-time position with rotating shifts, 24 hours per week, based on department needs. Availability for weekends and holidays is required. The role is responsible for transporting patients throughout the hospital using appropriate equipment in a safe and timely manner. This includes demonstrating good judgment in selecting the proper mode of transportation, maintaining patient safety during transport to and from ancillary areas, and adhering to proper infection control practices and precautions in all patient care activities.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- AHA BLS

- Prior Hospital Transport experience
Responsibilities
- Transporting patients throughout the hospital with appropriate equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Demonstrating good judgment in selecting proper mode of transportation.
- Maintaining patient safety in preparation for transport to ancillary areas as well as upon return to unit.
- Demonstrating proper infection control practices and precautions in all patient care activities.
