About The Position

Canfor is hiring a Production Worker at its sawmill in DeRidder, Louisiana. This entry-level, full-time permanent position involves rotating shifts Monday through Thursday, with possible weekend work. The worker rotates through tasks in an assigned workspace and contributes to production goals and a safe, clean worksite. The role involves manual labor in a fast-paced mill environment, including exposure to dust, environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, and loud noise. Requirements

• Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods, including piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work in an environment with exposure to environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and dust.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• Show a high degree of urgency and attention to detail.
• Have a desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
