About The Position

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Production Worker to set up and maintain line equipment, monitor production, and help prepare and package products. The role supports an efficient flow of product while ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and quality standards are met. The Production Worker is a team member within the department and organization and may perform other assigned duties to serve the company.

The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 a.m. and continuing until finish.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Six months to one year of warehouse selection experience.
• Consistent job history.
• Experience in a warehouse and/or production environment.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of work experience.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the work schedule and daily production paperwork, verify ingredients, supplies, and packaging, and prepare for operations.
• Work with the Production Planner to select appropriate raw materials for daily production requirements.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and safety gear.
• Set up and assemble line equipment according to the work order, perform metal detector checks, and start the line.
• Monitor the production process; complete quality checks; change label rolls; and check packaging and finished cases as required.
• Troubleshoot problems and make minor equipment repairs and adjustments, including changing harp assemblies and blades as needed.
• Facilitate production, maintain the scale area, assist with line supplies, and assist line personnel with un-boxing, reduction, and palletizing.
• Secure equipment, perform general housekeeping, and complete required paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
