About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring a Production Worker in the York, Nebraska region. Under general supervision, this team member works on a production line building manufactured housing and performs quality work at a fast-moving, consistent pace. The role includes manual labor in the assigned area, maintaining a neat and clean workspace, reading tape measures, blueprints, and orders, communicating with coworkers, and using hand, air, and electrical tools. The position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work quickly and methodically, understanding of safety procedures, good teamwork skills, and adherence to Champion Operating Principles. A high school education is not required; the stated qualification is less than high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination. Previous manufacturing or modular-housing experience is desired. Applicants must be able to pass a 7-panel drug screen. This job involves frequent standing, hand use, reaching, walking, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
