This role involves setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to assigned specifications. It requires regular communication with production personnel and supervisors, and the completion of required paperwork. The Production Worker is responsible for ensuring all support equipment is operational, performing visual inspections and documentation during production runs to ensure defect-free work, and loading materials into appropriate machines. They will also perform minor package change-overs, preventative maintenance, and assist line mechanics. Ensuring equipment is functioning properly before starting a run, verifying product codes and graphics, and monitoring the machine during operation are key duties. The role also includes clearing jams, reporting defects, verifying product flavor and size, and cleaning the work area. Adherence to work rules, GMP compliance, and reporting quality issues are mandatory. The position may also involve relieving other operators and shutting down equipment at the end of a shift or run.
