About The Position

Weather Shield, now part of the Pella Family of Brands, is seeking dedicated and skilled Production Workers. The role involves assembling smaller components into complex outputs, ensuring parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. Workers use their hands and machines to complete tasks precisely and need technical knowledge, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and accurately follow instructions in manuals, drawings, and schematics.

Starting pay is up to $20 per hour based on experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Typical first-shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Friday overtime as needed. Typical second-shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with Friday overtime as needed. Second shift receives a $2.50 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and diagrams.
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds or more.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools.
• Ability to use tools such as clamps and machines such as presses.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven experience as an assembler.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
• Take precision measurements to ensure components fit correctly.
• Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
• Align material and assemble parts into more complex units.
• Check output to ensure the highest quality.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Keep records of production quantities and time.
• Report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.
