As a 3rd Shift Sanitation Operator at our ice cream production facility, you will be responsible for performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment and work areas during the overnight shift. Your duties will include dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling machinery, ensuring all surfaces meet stringent hygiene standards, and conducting regular inspections to maintain compliance with safety regulations. You'll work independently to prepare the facility for the next day's production, ensuring a spotless and safe environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will be crucial in upholding the quality and safety of our products. The position will be based in Phoenix, Arizona. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 9:00 pm - 5:30 am.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the dairy production equipment and environment.
  • Operating Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines.
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment for thorough cleaning as per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Following all safety procedures and policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintaining specialized cleaning equipment and reporting any malfunctions or needs for repair.
  • Accurately logging all required sanitation metrics and completing documentation for quality assurance.
  • Assisting in the training and development of new operators, if required.
  • Complying with regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
