About The Position

This role is responsible for various production duties, including operating forklifts and riding pallet jacks, pulling and placing product, ensuring production quality, maintaining sanitation, and adhering to safety and food safety standards. The position requires consistent attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a cold environment.

Requirements

  • Pallet Jack/Forklift Certification/Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English Language
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant experience in production process
  • Must attend work consistently
  • Knowledge of knife sharpening
  • Considerable knowledge of production processes and work requirements
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others

Responsibilities

  • Use order guide from Lead person and idents from the clerk’s office.
  • Perform daily preoperational checks for Forklift and pallet jacks.
  • Pull boxed product according to daily usage needs and follow proper box opening procedures.
  • Place product on the dock and verify tray counts, replenishing as necessary.
  • Pull any additional product needed for the day.
  • Ensure product is returned to the proper pick slot at the end of the shift.
  • Calculate product usage and turn in original idents to the production clerk.
  • Wash and sanitize utensils at the end of the day.
  • Responsible for production quality.
  • Ensure all necessary tools and supplies are available.
  • Safely and properly disassemble equipment and store it correctly.
  • Notify Lead when issues arise.
  • Responsible for sanitation of work areas.
  • Assure compliance with all company safety rules.
  • Follow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practices.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF System.
  • Accountable to Denver Processing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
