About The Position
This role is responsible for various tasks on the production floor to ensure smooth operations and quality control. Key duties include splicing foam rolls, verifying product specifications, maintaining proper foam guidance, assisting with inventory rotation and product changeovers, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area. The position also involves performing basic arithmetic, understanding and adhering to company policies, completing production reports, mentoring new employees, and assisting maintenance with machine adjustments. Effective communication with supervisors regarding product quality and participation in corrective actions are essential.
Requirements
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic including fractions & decimals.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with plant and company policies and procedures.
- Ability to fill out quality records and other production-related reports.
- Ability to assist maintenance with repairs and adjustment of the machine.
- Ability to communicate with supervisor when non-conforming product.
- Environmental aspect and impact awareness.

Responsibilities
- Splices rolls of foam together.
- Measures and ensures correctness of product specifications.
- Keeps foam properly guided to avoid unscheduled shutdowns.
- Provides lead operator with accurate input information and ensures proper rotation of inventory.
- Assist in product changeovers.
- Helps move rolls.
- Keeps area clean, organized and operational.
- Has ability to perform simple arithmetic including fractions & decimals.
- Must be able to read, understand and comply with plant and company policies and procedures such as S.O.P., S.E.P., ETC. which are all written in English.
- Must be able to fill out quality records and other production-related reports.
- Mentor new employees.
- Must be able to assist maintenance with repairs and adjustment of the machine.
- Keep your area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5s standards.
- Communicate with supervisor when non-conforming product.
- Stops production to correct quality problems.
- Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
- Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process.
