About The Position

GovCIO is hiring a Production Training Support Communications Analyst to support training efforts for the Department of VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Readiness and Employment System (RES). The role translates technical updates into clear, actionable communications so end users understand the impact of ongoing technological changes. This is a fully remote position in the United States.

The analyst works with Agile teams to understand upcoming changes, prepares communication materials, manages communications timelines around Agile delivery cycles, and helps maintain communication and knowledge channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, or commensurate experience with training and support systems.
• 5–8 years of work experience.
• Strong writing and storytelling abilities, particularly the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple communication threads simultaneously.
• Eagerness to learn technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using collaboration and work-tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, Teams, and SharePoint.
• At least 1 year of experience in the software industry using Agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand upcoming technical changes and create clear, concise, user-friendly communication materials.
• Assist in preparing release notes, deployment announcements, sprint or PI updates, FAQs, success stories, and readiness materials.
• Maintain communication timelines aligned with sprints, increments, and release cycles, ensuring messaging is delivered on time.
• Help manage and update intranet pages, email distributions, collaboration platforms, and knowledge repositories.
