  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years as a people manager leading manufacturing test engineering or a relevant adjacent field.
  • Experience with Linux, C#, Python, NixOS, LabView, or other test automation tools.
  • Experience with computer hardware communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, and CAN.
  • Solid experience with PCBA/electronic assembly testing and knowledge of testing standards, including acceptance, EOL, and ESS testing.
  • Proficiency using electronic and RF test equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis of non-conforming electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Familiarity with Test Execution Systems (TES), Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience managing projects integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PCBA design and mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with various hardware communication protocols.
  • Experience designing HASS and ESS-related tests, including thermal and vibration tests.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the manufacturing test engineering team, set objectives, guide initiatives, and assess team outcomes.
  • Oversee and improve manufacturing test strategies for each product to support scalable operations and transition from pre-production to full-scale output.
  • Collaborate with product SEIT and development engineering on design testability and seamless production integration.
  • Advance manufacturing testing through automation, uniformity, and operational streamlining.
  • Maintain test capabilities across multiple products and manufacturing value streams, from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation.
  • Evaluate test data, compile findings, and identify product and process improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate strategic plans to stakeholders and guide platforms from pre-production (LRIP) through mass production (FRP).
  • Lead procurement and implementation of test equipment, including cost-benefit and ROI analyses as needed.
  • Champion testing initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity.
  • Cultivate innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering department.
  • Serve as the technical authority for manufacturing test matters, advising on and troubleshooting complex issues.
