About The Position

The Production Technology & Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the technology and infrastructure that powers NBCUniversal's production environments. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing new solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of production systems. The engineer will work closely with production teams to understand their needs and provide timely and effective technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in technical support or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of production workflows in media and entertainment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with broadcast or post-production technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with cloud-based production environments.
• Experience with ITIL best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production systems and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain production technology equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement technical solutions.
• Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Document technical procedures and support processes.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
