About The Position

Axalta Coating Systems is hiring a Production Technician for chemical mixing in its High Point, North Carolina manufacturing operation. The role involves setting up, operating, or tending machines that mix or blend ingredients to produce products. Technicians regulate machines, operate equipment, and follow formulation batch cards accurately to meet production and inventory levels while maintaining high quality. They collect batch samples for laboratory testing and clean machines and workstations after each job.

The opening is for either the second or third shift, Monday through Friday. New hires train on first shift and move to their assigned shift after completing training. The listed base wage is $22.50 per hour, with a $1.25 shift differential for second shift. Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen, basic math and reading comprehension assessment, and pre-employment physical. Candidates must be clean-shaven or have very low facial hair to be fitted for a respirator.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Pass a basic math and reading comprehension assessment before being interviewed.
• Pass a pre-employment physical.
• Be clean-shaven or have very low facial hair to be fitted for a respirator.

Nice To Haves

• Chemical experience is a major plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but is not required; forklift training will be provided.
