About The Position

The Production Technician sets up, operates, or tends machines that mix or blend ingredients to make products. The technician regulates machines, operates equipment, and follows formulation batch cards accurately to meet production and inventory levels while maintaining the highest level of quality. The role also involves collecting batch samples for laboratory testing and cleaning the machine and workstation after each job. The position is in chemical manufacturing at Axalta Coating Systems in High Point, North Carolina. Candidates train on first shift and move to second shift after completing training; the posting also seeks candidates for second or third shift. Candidates must be clean-shaven or have very low facial hair to be fitted for a respirator, and must pass a background check, drug screen, basic math and reading comprehension assessment, and pre-employment physical.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Pass a background check and drug screen.
Pass a basic math and reading comprehension assessment before interview.
Pass a pre-employment physical.
Be clean-shaven or have very low facial hair to be fitted for a respirator.

Nice To Haves

Chemical experience is a significant plus.
Forklift experience is a plus, but is not required; forklift training will be provided.
