About The Position

The Forestry Head Group Lead will be proficient in all positions within the assigned line and will lead the team. This position will coordinate, plan, and train department requirements by providing clear written and verbal instructions to group members and promptly addressing any questions or concerns. This position will report to our Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience with Tree Care line
• Basic knowledge of problem-solving tools for Continuous Improvement
• Proven excellent attendance with the company
• No corrective action write-ups within the last year
• Acceptance of ongoing change and ability to adapt to working in different departments, sometimes daily
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, JDE
• Experienced in blueprint reading, assembly, and welding skills
• Multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Thrive under pressure
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of employment experience at Morbark

• Lead and mentor employees
• Lead daily safety discussions, monitor and sustain safe work areas

• Use continuous improvement methods for sustaining and improving quality
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
• Be willing to be First Aid/CPR/AED trained (at company expense)
