Requirements

  • A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience or more leading workplace teams.
  • Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States.
  • Must pass a urinalysis screening as part of the post-offer health assessment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic computer skills for ERP system utilization.
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the plant.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift/Powered Industrial Truck license.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a production or packaging line leader, supporting the Operations Supervisor by leading day-to-day activities associated with running production or packaging equipment.
  • Ensure routine regulatory checks are complete.
  • Maintain production data and properly record ingredient transactions in ERP.
  • Report to the Supervisor any conditions preventing the completion of duties.
  • Set-up and clean-up all equipment at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Coordinate team job rotations and break schedules.
  • Communicate last-minute changes or expectations to employees.
  • Communicate labor shortages to supervisors and help develop solutions.
  • Follow FDA and Quality Control Regulations.
  • Immediately report equipment, ingredient, or employee relations issues to management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide feedback and ideas for solutions.
  • Participate in writing OIF's, root cause problem solving, 5S improvements, and other lean activities.
  • Utilize ERP system for scanning and entering ingredient usage.
  • Complete required forms.
  • Perform Lock Out Tag Out responsibilities for safe operation.
