This role is responsible for operating packaging equipment, monitoring online insert scanner/folder systems, performing in-process quality checks, and directing production personnel working on and around the packaging line. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating packaging equipment in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to operate semi-automatic and automatic packaging machinery
  • Basic computer skills including ERP systems, MS Word, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently while leading others effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Operator experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience with Label Aire labelers and serialization systems such as Optel Track Safe
  • Previous leadership or team lead experience

Responsibilities

  • Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Practice safe lifting, carrying, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support and promote SafeCor’s culture of safety and accountability.
  • Set up and operate packaging-related equipment, including: Automatic inserters, Cartoners, Label Aire systems, Tapers, Online insert scanner/folders.
  • Perform pre-checks, system checks, and equipment setup for production runs.
  • Monitor packaging lines during operation to ensure efficiency and product quality.
  • Assist with feeder box sub-assembly, hopper assembly, and machine adjustments as needed.
  • Complete reconciliation of components, labels, and materials at the end of production runs.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks of finished unit cartons and packaged cards.
  • Complete batch records, machine logs, and cleaning documentation accurately and in compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Communicate production issues, downtime, or maintenance concerns promptly to leadership.
  • Monitor scrap and salvage rates to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Direct and support production personnel during packaging operations and cleanup activities.
  • Train and mentor team members on procedures, equipment operation, and best practices.
  • Maintain strong communication and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
  • Utilize ERP systems, RF devices, HMI systems, and Microsoft Office applications for production tracking and reporting.
  • Perform time scanning, material transfers, inventory transactions, and related system functions.
