About The Position
UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Team Partner for its Pre-Tunnel Inspection Department. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure quality assurance for customers by inspecting garments as they are processed through a steam tunnel. The role provides on-the-job training and ongoing cross-training across production areas, with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The position has a 40-hour work week over five days, with Saturdays and Sundays off.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using American standard units for weight, measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and push up to 25 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Count garments.
- Hang garments to be processed through the steam tunnel.
- Visually inspect garments for tears, holes, stains, and damage.
- Ensure garments pass the UniFirst 20-point uniform inspection process.
- Follow safety policies, HACCP requirements, and medical guidelines.
- Perform other duties as described by the area supervisor or management.
