About The Position

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a full-time, onsite Production Team Member in Cowpens, South Carolina. The role supports safe and efficient mill operations by performing production functions across multiple work areas. Team members are expected to become proficient in at least seven of the mill’s nine production positions to help meet production goals, serve customer needs, and improve operational performance. The position is hourly and follows a rotating four-days-on, four-days-off schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Flexible schedule to work a four-days-on, four-days-off shift rotation, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to work overtime as required, including during scheduled mill outages.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Lift truck experience.
• Prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a reliable flow of recycled fiber raw materials to production operations.
• Operate material-handling and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Manage OCC inventory and material movement using computerized systems.
• Select and supply appropriate OCC grades to meet manufacturing and product-quality standards.
• Operate Reel and Winder equipment to produce customer-ready paper rolls in accordance with quality, safety, and specification requirements.
• Safely load and handle customer orders to support timely shipment of finished products.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and follow safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Align with Smurfit Westrock’s values of safety, loyalty, integrity, and respect.
