About The Position

Vermeer is seeking a dependable, team-oriented Production Team Member to create equipment for customers around the world. Candidates complete skill assessments to match their strengths and aptitude with a production role in assembly, machining, material handling, paint, or welding. Vermeer provides individualized development training to build technical and professional skills, confidence, and production proficiency.

The position involves carrying out specified production tasks repeatedly within allotted timeframes, maintaining equipment, inspecting parts and equipment for quality, performing basic calculations, and contributing to workplace organization and departmental performance improvements. The role is onsite at a Vermeer campus. Opportunities are available on first, second, and third shifts.

Requirements

• Ability to perform problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals throughout the organization.

Nice To Haves

• One to three months of production experience and/or training preferred.
• Successful completion of the Keys to Manufacturing Success Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Complete skill assessments to match strengths and aptitude with a specific role in assembly, machining, material handling, paint, or weld.
• Demonstrate technical skills learned through Vermeer training sessions.
• Complete specified tasks repeatedly within a certain amount of time.
• Perform regular and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect parts and equipment to ensure quality.
• Calculate figures and apply basic math.
• Support departmental 5S and workplace organization goals, offer suggestions, and make improvements that help achieve department performance board metrics.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
