About The Position

The Production Team Lead supervises and coordinates daily manufacturing-floor production activities, ensuring product quality, food safety, and team efficiency in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role supports production goals, safe operations, accurate recordkeeping, and continuous improvement while coordinating with other departments to resolve issues.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or similar production environment.
Prior leadership experience in a lead, supervisor, or coordinator role.
Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, or USDA requirements.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or bachelor's degree in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
Bilingual in English/Spanish or another relevant language.
Experience with ERP systems or production tracking software.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise production associates to meet production goals and quality standards.
Monitor operations for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety protocols, and company policies.
Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve production issues.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to promote continuous improvement and high performance.
Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork, logs, and system data entry.
Monitor inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies and communicate shortages or issues to supervisors.
Enforce safety standards and conduct daily safety checks and audits.
Participate in shift changeovers, team meetings, and daily production planning.
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform production tasks as needed to support team performance and output.
