Requirements

  • Must have an understanding of how the department runs, what problems the department could and does encounter, and how to resolve such problems
  • Must have problem solving experience
  • Must have basic computer skills, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must know the required PPE for each job on the line
  • Must have satisfactory attendance record. Preference for exemplary attendance
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Train others using the “tell, show, do, review” methodology
  • Complete daily paperwork, calculate and post metrics on line-specific boards
  • Present stand up meetings on the line, demonstrating an understanding of metrics, goals, and how each employee contributes to the bottom line
  • Read and explain policies and procedures related to each position on the line
  • Demonstrate a track record of safe work performance
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Monitor and address quality related issues
  • Conduct daily audits
  • Ensure standard work is updated and followed per work station
  • Work with maintenance to address equipment issues
  • Be engaged in the PDCA process
  • Foster and embrace STOP, CALL, WAIT methodology
  • Attend/Update Tier 3 meeting in absence of Supervisor
  • Communicate respectfully and build a motivated, energized team environment
