Production Support - Depal - 12 hour nights (6pm-6:30am)
About The Position
LiDestri Foods is hiring a Production Support employee to assist production workers in a food manufacturing environment. The position supports production by delivering accurate ingredients to the production area, handling products and packaging materials, removing debris, assisting with clean-in-process (CIP), and relieving operators as needed. The role follows standard operating procedures, maintains good manufacturing practices around area machinery, keeps accurate records, and works safely in accordance with company policies and regulations. Employees must report food safety or quality problems to personnel authorized to take action. This role works 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The work environment includes loud noise, high places, moving mechanical parts, extreme hot or cold conditions, and potential exposure to caustic chemicals. The job involves frequent standing and walking, lifting and carrying, reaching, pulling, bending, climbing stairs, stooping, and kneeling.
Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net if applicable, Kevlar gloves, and leather skid-resistant work shoes or boots, and to complete safety training.
- Basic computer and communication skills, math skills, and reasoning ability.
- Ability to use tools including band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knives, and scales.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and keep up with daily production demands.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate ingredients to the production area.
- Handle products on the production line.
- Package materials.
- Box and unbox goods and remove debris.
- Assist with clean-in-process (CIP) as required.
- Relieve the operator as needed.
- Perform standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned work areas.
- Maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) standards at the area and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Work safely in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
