About The Position

Great opportunity to join FNZ's Production Support Team. The team is responsible for providing a range of high value services to FNZ’s existing and potential customers. This includes influencing Platform configuration, resolving critical issues, escalations, knowledge management, and provides key expertise plus experience in all aspects of the issues management. The Technical Specialist role is a key role within the Production Support team, and will provide leadership and expertise in the following areas: Providing up to date knowledge, awareness of current trends and future direction of the local asset management industry Presenting & explaining existing FNZ capability Regulations and advice on platform compliance Customer training programs and knowledge transfer Defining business readiness processes and agreeing SLAs Defect analysis This role demands individuals who: Are consistently solution & execution focused Capable of dealing with complex problems & environments Have strong technology, analytical and data interpretation skills; Take ownership for an outcome on behalf of a customer Comfortable with high levels of customer, stakeholder interaction & management

Requirements

  • 1st class degree or equivalent experience
  • Be able to evidence establishing an environment of continuous improvement and capability development.
  • Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environment.
  • Independent, self-directing and execution focused working style.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills.
  • Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with the following modern and legacy development products and frameworks: Microsoft .NET, C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, WebAPI and SQL Server, Javascript, ReactJS, jQuery.
  • Experience with web development
  • Familiarity with financial products and markets
  • Familiar with tools for code analysis and automated testing

Nice To Haves

  • Background in financial services, wealth management operations environment.
  • General investment/wealth/life and/or pensions products and the markets in which FNZ and our customers operate.
  • For the jurisdiction being hiring for, an understanding of the regulatory environment FNZ operates within and a knowledge of the upcoming changes.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services/wealth market

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support for your assigned FNZ clients, building capability and providing support for more junior members of the team.
  • Critical incident resolution, escalations, SME expertise, and issue management leadership
  • Document any bespoke customer requirements, be the solution owner to ensure these are met.
  • Provide training programmes and knowledge transfer services for FNZ customers.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers in respect of delivering a compliant platform.
  • Be an SME in the platform market in which FNZ operate and provide training and support for other areas of the FNZ business.
