Production Support Specialist
About The Position
The Production Worker / Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by identifying defects, maintaining equipment, and following production protocols. This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization.
Requirements
- May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience to carry out the role.
- Basic mechanical and technical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with safety and quality procedures.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing customer purchase orders & material BOM.
- Review drawings carefully to determine make or buy depending on costs and schedule.
- Handle multiple reports as needed to monitor multiple jobs and assist production with schedule.
- Assist in troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
