The Production Supervisor assists the Production Manager with schedule prioritization, safety compliance, and quality control. This role involves providing production employees with personal protective equipment and tools, maintaining the production schedule, and responding to production and administration issues. The supervisor ensures safety procedures are followed, equipment is maintained, and provides guidance to employees. They also manage inventory, order materials, maintain records, perform quality control, and oversee shop operations. Additional responsibilities include inspecting manufactured items, ensuring proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials, and complying with waste disposal regulations. The role may involve operating a solvent reclaimer, conducting inspections, reviewing waste disposal manifests, moving hazardous waste containers, cleaning up spills, and supervising related tasks. The position requires attending training, conducting interviews, orientation, and employee training, and may involve loading/unloading trucks and operating a forklift. Communication with other departments and completing required paperwork, including daily labor reports, are also key aspects of the role. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment and securing tools and equipment at the end of the day are essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
