Production Supervisor
About The Position
Electro Cables, now part of Nexans, is seeking a Production Supervisor to support and strengthen manufacturing operations in Trenton, Ontario. This position is primarily based at the Sidney Street facility, with the expectation that the successful candidate will provide supervisory coverage at the Riverside location, as required to support operational needs. As operations continue to evolve and expand, this role will contribute to maintaining efficient, safe, and high-performing production across both facilities. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and performance expectations. Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in production reporting and KPI tracking
- Ability to analyze data and support operational decision-making
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards
- Monitor production performance and ensure established KPIs are achieved
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to employees
- Support training and development initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources
