About The Position

Leads daily manufacturing operations for Powertec's custom electric motor business, overseeing assembly, testing, and repair activities to ensure safety, quality, and on-time customer delivery. Drives operational performance through Business System tools, KPI management, workforce leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for meeting production targets, improving productivity, and supporting customer satisfaction in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Reports to the Plant Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience supervising manufacturing operations, preferably in a lean, custom environment.
Experience with continuous improvement tools, daily visual management, and structured problem-solving processes required
3+ years of experience leading operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment with customized or engineered products is required.
Strong understanding of manufacturing flow, work cell coordination, takt time, operator loading, and production scheduling.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making.
Effective communication and team-building abilities.

Nice To Haves

technical, manufacturing, engineering, or operations-related degree preferred.
Kaizen leadership experience preferred.
Experience in electric motors and/or related manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coordinate and schedule daily production activities for custom electric motor assembly, testing, and repair operations.
Plan labor and resources to balance workloads and meet customer delivery commitments.
Drive SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance through daily management and problem-solving.
Utilize Business System tools, visual management, 5S, and standard work to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Monitor KPIs and production metrics to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
Lead hiring, training, and development of production employees.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve production challenges and improve performance.
Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance flow, capacity, and customer responsiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
