About The Position

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of quality products. This role provides leadership, coaching, and direction to production employees while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance with company policies and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Position must be able to obtain a Repairman Certificate within 2-4 months of employment or have the credentials i.e. A&P license so they are able to supervise any maintenance activity.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and production processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with production reporting and performance management tools.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Four (4) years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Practical knowledge of aircraft components, machining, welding, inspection and related disciplines.
  • Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model for professional conduct, accountability, and ethical behavior.

  • Mentor, coach, and develop production employees to achieve performance objectives.
  • Provide timely and constructive performance feedback to employees and management.
  • Conduct mid-year and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Address employee performance and disciplinary issues in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training and development for assigned operations.
  • Assign, coordinate, and execute daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Ensure production goals are achieved while maintaining quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to meet organizational objectives.
  • Ensure materials, tooling, and supplies are available to support production requirements.
  • Support the achievement of both short-term and long-range operational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely production and administrative records.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Control Plans (QCPs), policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, corrective actions, and process enhancements.
  • Support favorable audit results.
  • Drive adherence to established production and control standards.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Support and enforce 5S principles and standard work practices.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to and promote the Company's Code of Ethical Conduct.
  • Support and follow MRO principles, management directives, and corporate initiatives.
