About The Position

M&M Manufacturing, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings (backed by Berkshire Hathaway), is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Fort Worth, TX location. M&M is a leading producer of sheet metal products, primarily serving the air distribution and ventilation market with a comprehensive range of ductwork, fittings, and accessories for residential and commercial construction. This role involves managing a production area to meet schedules, quality, and cost objectives, developing manpower requirements, and providing direction and leadership for production operations. The supervisor will be responsible for identifying and resolving potential problems, ensuring adherence to safety policies, maintaining production objectives, evaluating operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3 plus years’ experience in managing a team
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Production Management: Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment.
  • Quality Control: Experience with quality control procedures and standards.
  • Safety Regulations: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and motivate employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve production challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a production area to meet production schedules, quality, and cost objectives through subordinate team leader staff.
  • Develops manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Responsible for the direction and leadership of the production operations.
  • Identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as quality assurance, safety, and training.
  • Ensure team is adhering to safety policies while continuously pushing safety as a top priority throughout the Plant.
  • Identifies and communicates safety issues that impacts the Company.
  • Complies with established safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives.
  • Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and implement the Company’s safety policies.
  • Maintain production objectives to meet customer demand while balancing production costs.
  • Evaluate various areas of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Recognize and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the operations.
  • Provides communication and dissemination of information amongst employees.
  • Cooperate with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship always exists.
  • Oversee and coach employees.
  • Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
  • Reviews the performance and personal development of all employees.
  • Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence with employees.
  • Supports and sustains a culture of continuous improvement (CI) across all areas of the Plant.
