About The Position

Eaton’s PCD division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (Split Shift) to join the team. This role is based at the El Paso, TX manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for creating and sustaining an environment in which employees are engaged, accountable, and self-motivated to deliver results aligned with business objectives. The core working hours for this position are Monday-Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm. This role is fully accountable for the performance of their assigned production area, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost; requiring strong problem-solving capabilities to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues through data-driven decision making and structured root cause analysis methodologies. This position drives execution through Eaton Business System (EBS), ensuring alignment between plant strategy and daily operations, while leading initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency. The Production Supervisor requires a high level of ownership, urgency, and execution discipline, with the expectation to deliver consistent results in a fast-paced, multi-line manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing/supervising teams
  • Candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of proactive issue identification and escalation through tier accountability.
  • Direct day-to-day production activities, including manpower allocation, job assignments, schedule execution, and workload balancing to meet customer demand.
  • Control labor and resource utilization within established budgets.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple production lines simultaneously (e.g., PD5, PD6, Magnum, Cassettes, CNC), ensuring balanced resources and efficient flow.
  • Prioritize production based on changing customer demand and operational constraints (material, manpower, equipment).
  • Utilize Tier meeting processes to track key operational metrics, drive performance, and escalate issues effectively.
  • Lead and/or champion EBS Pull (needle mover) initiatives and key business projects to achieve plant objectives.
  • Support deployment of EBS functional initiatives such as CIF, EQMS, ELSS (Lean), and other continuous improvement efforts.
  • Escalate operational issues impacting performance through appropriate channels.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as RCA, 5-Why, A3, and DMAIC to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Ensure all chronic issues have clear ownership, root cause identified, and sustainable countermeasures implemented and verified.
  • Drive a culture of proactive issue identification, escalation, and resolution through disciplined Tier processes.
  • Monitor performance trends and take corrective actions to close gaps in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Drive accountability for all key performance indicators (KPI’s), including OTD, FPY, Scrap, Efficiency, and Safety metrics.
  • Ensure daily follow-up on action items from Tier meetings with clear ownership, timeline, and closure discipline.
  • Communicate department objectives, performance metrics, and policy updates clearly and consistently.
  • Hold team members accountable to standard work, policies, and performance expectations, ensuring appropriate follow-up and consequences when needed.
  • Maintain discipline in execution and ensure consistency in meeting commitments and production targets.
  • Maintain proper documentation of performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance team environment aligned with Eaton’s Leadership Attributes.
  • Ensure proper staffing, cross-training, and skill coverage to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development to hourly team members and support staff.
  • Build bench strength through structured training plans and certification follow-up.
  • Manage payroll, attendance, overtime, and other administrative processes accurately and on time.
  • Provide documentation of all disciplinary actions taken against employees who violate health and safety rules and underperform in any category of the employee expectations and metrics.
  • Champion a Safety Culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering all employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as that of everyone around them.
  • Perform timely investigations of accidents, identification of root cause and rapid correction of contributing factors and Inform commitment to health and safety.
  • Hold employees accountable for adherence to safety standards and immediately address unsafe behaviors or conditions.
