About The Position

Grimco is seeking a Production Supervisor to guide and coordinate its night-shift production operations. The supervisor leads production-floor personnel, assigns work, monitors performance and workflow, ensures equipment and tools are ready for use, and verifies that production meets company quality standards. The role includes scheduling and prioritizing work, tracking progress, resolving production problems, and coordinating shift handoffs with day-shift supervisors. The supervisor also promotes a safe, clean, and compliant work environment and supports employee development and a positive team atmosphere.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Eastern time. The position is hourly and includes a night-shift pay differential. Grimco describes the Manchester operation as using plastics extrusion technology and emphasizes opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently during night-shift hours.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft and general computer skills.
• Ability to interpret and implement OSHA standards for the facility.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of recent manufacturing supervisor experience, preferably in plastics extrusion or continuous-process manufacturing.
• Experience working night shifts or other non-traditional hours.
• Understanding of extrusion processes, quality-control measures, and preventive-maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to night-shift production-floor personnel.
• Coordinate daily production-floor activities and delegate assignments.
• Communicate expectations and job-related information, and develop opportunities for personnel growth.
• Provide constructive feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Monitor employee performance and maintain workflow through the facility.
• Ensure equipment and tools are in good working order and available when needed.
• Ensure production stations meet company quality standards.
• Complete the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, setting priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
• Facilitate shift handoffs with day-shift supervisors to maintain continuity of operations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on control points, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
