Production Supervisor I/II - Paso

Zone 5 Technologies•Paso Robles, CA

About The Position

Zone 5 Technologies is hiring for Production Supervisor I and Production Supervisor II roles in manufacturing. Both roles lead daily execution and frontline teams in assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring work is performed safely, to standard, on schedule, and with high quality. They work with manufacturing managers, engineering disciplines, production staff, and operations teams to meet production outcomes. Production Supervisor I leads day-to-day execution in an assigned area, shift, or line, translating production plans into clear direction, coordinating labor and work sequence, monitoring progress, and escalating risks. The supervisor provides limited, situational hands-on support—up to approximately 50% as needed—for training, short-term staffing gaps, critical build steps, or recovery from disruptions. The role also manages attendance, performance, and conduct; coaches team members; reinforces safety, quality, compliance, standard work, 5S, and visual management; and supports audits and continuous improvement. Production Supervisor II leads execution and provides technical oversight in a specialized, high-complexity manufacturing environment such as avionics, machining, or advanced composites. The role serves as the area's subject-matter leader and execution authority for complex processes, critical build steps, technical troubleshooting, and quality standards. It typically involves less than 30% hands-on work, focused on technical coaching, troubleshooting, process validation, and abnormal recovery. The supervisor partners with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and program or value-stream leadership; develops skilled technicians; manages higher-risk operations; and leads technical improvement efforts. Both roles require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required. The listed pay range is $75,000–$120,000 USD. Zone 5 Technologies offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, sick time, company holidays, and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
