About The Position

The Production Supervisor coordinates day-to-day activities of production to ensure all plant operations and equipment are running safely and efficiently, in order to meet the plant’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This position requires a continuous desire to improve processes by implementing procedures, initiating Lean Manufacturing activities, and building a strong team.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
  • Develop and maintain a team-based culture that strives to achieve daily Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity/Costs goals
  • Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators to achieve budget
  • Proven background in Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
  • Critical thinking with good troubleshooting skills, using data-driven approach
  • Proficient with mechanical operation, manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Attention to detail, product quality and safety procedures
  • Managerial courage
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to multi-task and manage priorities, excellent work ethics and responsibility
  • Positive attitude, honest and trustworthy
  • Autonomous, logical, self-motivated, takes initiatives, commitment to company value
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5 years of experience in a Supervisory Role in a manufacturing environment required
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements for manufacturing facilities required
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders frequently
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Valid US Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and use of SAP (ERP software) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage production operations (safety, team schedules, production schedules, etc.) to meet plant’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Responsible for training, coaching and mentoring of each team member on shift
  • Utilization of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Develop SOPs and JSAs with the team as needed
  • Maintain a high degree of visibility, access, and open communication with all team members
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and best practices to drive continuous improvement projects
  • Prioritize important issues and collaborate with the Plant Manager on solutions related to internal workflows, processes, product quality and personnel
