About The Position

Lead the Manufacturing department to create and maintain a behavior-based safety culture, produce quality products, and maintain and increase plant efficiencies. This role involves managing, developing, and motivating direct reporting staff, monitoring production processes, and ensuring effective communication and problem-solving among team members. The supervisor is also responsible for enforcing company policies, maintaining housekeeping standards, and managing employee time cards and evaluations.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or training experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety of associates and implementing safety procedures.
  • Manage, Develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on production related process performance and general issues.
  • Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.
  • Use problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve problems.
  • Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
  • Make appropriate decisions involving quality or scheduling while following the company's organizational structure.
  • Communicate with the plant superintendent any changes communicated from crews.
  • Enforce and discipline any associates breaking company policies (i.e. attendance, quality, safety, associate conduct).
  • Maintain and authorize employee time cards on a daily basis.
  • Conduct new employee evaluations at the end of each week within their first month of employment.
  • Responsible for the completion of RGAs.
  • Report and communicate order shortages.
  • Responsible for correctness of production and quality reporting.
