Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry required.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.
Lead by example, professionally, morally, and ethically.
Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Knowledge and experience with GMP and safety regulations.
Good verbal & written communication skills are required.
Basic computer skills within programs such as Microsoft Office and the internet are required.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Nice To Haves

A college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
Manage daily production scheduling.
Oversee lot control and inventory accuracy.
Generate reports.
Ensure sanitation and housekeeping standards are met.
Adhere to standard operating procedures.
Ensure correct preparation of powder (order, weight-outs, etc.).
Participate in new methods such as 5 S, standardized work, methods improvements, and computerized weigh-out system.
Conduct line inspections, department safety audits, and safety meetings.
Ensure high-quality production and conduct quality audits.
Maintain a clean environment.
Oversee HACCP and verification of CCPs.
Manage cost/production efficiency and maintenance.
Engage in strategic planning for the continuation of production.
Address employee relations issues.
Follow applicable procedures and work instructions.
Perform verification and monitoring audits of CCPs.
Act as back-up redundancy for Department Supervisors.
