About The Position

This position is responsible for overall supervision and productivity of manufacturing extrusions while fostering a work environment that supports safety, quality, productivity, teamwork, training and development, and the overall Reschcor culture and core values. Supervisors will need to enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing supervisory and leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams
  • Proficient with arithmetic, algebra, statistical calculations, and metrology including rulers, tape measures, and calipers
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact within all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel as the ability to work with the ERP system (IQMS)
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents
  • Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift on a 3-2-2 schedule is required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience in plastics is preferred but not required
  • Lean manufacturing or six sigma experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective employee relations and provides employee coaching and development
  • Makes employment decisions and works through employee issues following proper management and Human Resources department protocols
  • Complete performance reviews in a timely fashion
  • Actively participates in the hiring process while mentoring/developing team members
  • Balances safety, quality, productivity, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
  • Support and maintain continuous improvements
  • Assists with achieving daily production requirements and accurately reporting these results
  • Participates in and actively supports the facility safety systems
  • Understands and utilizes the Quality Management system
  • Assists with troubleshooting machinery/equipment
  • Responsible for executing training plans to grow and develop team members
  • Responsible for managing accurate time and attendance records and time off requests
  • Responsible for disciplinary actions
  • Responsible for daily production reporting
  • Appropriately manage and utilize available labor to maximize machine utilization
  • Follow up on production and quality issues with direction of Production Manager and Quality Manager
