About The Position

The Production Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This role leads and supports a team of hourly employees and is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and employee engagement to ensure operational goals are met across Peachtree Packaging facilities. The work schedule for the 2nd shift is Monday through Thursday, 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive supervisory in a manufacturing/distribution environment is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret KPIs and use data to drive daily performance and corrective actions.
  • Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
  • Proficient with computer software to enter and use information in company systems.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
  • Use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Work authorization: United States (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the corrugated industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 90% of time on the production floor.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and workflow.
  • Review production schedules and backlog to plan labor and drive on-time completion.
  • Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes of nonconformance and operating issues; implement corrective actions.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet department objectives.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support hiring, employee relations, and policy compliance.
  • Create and maintain training and cross-training plans; train employees on machine operations as needed.
  • Develop, update, train on, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations.
  • Establish, track, and communicate KPIs; evaluate performance and drive daily accountability.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance/Engineering on equipment installations, troubleshooting, and upkeep.
  • Communicate shift goals, tasks, and priorities; contribute to regular shift meetings with plant leadership.
  • Complete required reports and records, including daily production logs, timecard approvals, and daily report submission.
  • Promote and enforce safety and quality standards, including OSHA compliance, LOTO, and company programs.
  • Manage labor and material resources to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
  • Ensure safe operation of production areas and that employees are trained on required safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensure daily adherence to company standards, values, and customer commitments.
  • Participate in Food Safety initiatives and meetings.
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  • Support other areas as needed to maintain a team approach.
