About The Position

The Production Supervisor will supervise the night shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:20pm-2:00am) and lead an assigned team through the daily activities on the secured frame area to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. The focus will be in the Pistol Serialized Area of the Operation.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Injection Molding and have the ability to troubleshoot, fix, and optimize.
  • Experience with robotics & have the ability to learn as technology develops.
  • Exceptional attendance required.
  • Strong computer skills, troubleshooting and efficiency to monitor and create daily reports.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate the team to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
  • Ability to remain organized.
  • Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
  • Mechanically inclined, injection molding and robotics background preferred.
  • Capable of maintaining a very high attention to details.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of related work experience required.
  • Possess an aptitude to become knowledgeable in automation, robotics with lean manufacturing and assembly.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with training of team members.
  • Oversee the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the assigned team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Monitor cycle times of the operators.
  • Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
  • Lead team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks.
  • Inspect the quality and quantity of parts produced.
  • Verification of finished skids in meeting company quality standards, ensuring that it has the appropriate labels, and operator initials.
  • Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implement viable ideas.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
  • Assist the material handler where or if needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Report daily attendance.
  • Prepare daily shift reports and send, via email to the appropriate personnel.
  • Supply training records needed while ensuring that they are filled out appropriately, verify that the operator can run the required process independently, and submit it to the production manager.
  • Work weekends whenever assigned shift is working.
  • Act as a backup for the area if needed.
